Rick and I stopped by the house this weekend, April 24, 2009. They have begun installing insulation. Drywall should soon follow.
Pink insulation is the wall and the brown is the ceiling insulation in the vaulted great room.

The progress lately is not terribly exciting to post pictures of but none the less important components such as wiring, plumbing and siding, oh my!
This picture is from Sunday, April 19, 2009. The siding is installed and the shake accent is done. I am thinking of painting it a soft green color with dark brown or reddish brown trim. The builder said he could put a little on the house for us to see how we like it before committing.
This is not the real front door. We learned the builder rents exterior doors for during construction so the real doors do not get damaged. The real front door is a craftsman style with a window and ledge detail.
The downstairs fireplace is all framed in. This was done over a week ago, just didn't get the pictures posted until now.
View of the fireplace from the upstairs landing.
The fireplaces are delivered. The great room real wood burning fireplace is about 500 pounds of wrought iron. It will go on the platform in the corner behind me. Like the Vanna impersonation. ;-)
The gas fireplace in the master bedroom is a little farther along in the installation process.
I can't wait to use the tub!
Mom came up on Friday, April 3rd. We went to the plumbing showroom, flooring store, paint store, Lowes, oh... and lunch. :-) It was a HUGE help to have my mom to bounce ideas off of. Below are a few selections we made.

Laminate Hardwood - The camera picks up more of a brown color in certain light and more of a dark brown in others.
