Interior Paint

The first coat of interior paint is on!

The plastic covering the windows and no alternative light source, creates a difficult photo session.  ;-)

The main floor of the house is painted a warm pale green color.  It is difficult to tell in the photo, heck! even in person.

The master bedroom / bathroom are painted "inviting ivory"  (aka - pale yellow)

I am trying to see how the master bathroom tile will look with the wall color.  This photo is not the best representation.  It looks pretty good in person.

Spare bedroom & guest bathroom are a light beige / almond color.

The House is Locked

Rick and I stopped by the house today after work, Friday, May 8, 2009.  We couldn't get in, the front door was locked, and all the other doors were nailed shut.... It is not breaking in if it is your house, right?? he he he.....

Hence, the following pictures are all from the outside and the garage.

The driveway, sidewalk and front porch concrete is complete.  Just to the left of the front window are exterior paint color swatches.

The garage dry wall activity.  The steps into the mud room / laundry are complete.  I am assuming the steps are covered in plastic to protect it.  Makes me think we might need a place for Rick to take his cycling shoes off.  (for those of us new to the cycling world such as myself,  Rick likes to be "clipped in".  He has cycling shoes with cleats near the ball of the foot that are designed to connect with his "egg beater" style pedals.)...... I digress....

We wondered around to the back of the house....

This is the back deck off the main floor.  Concrete deck with TimberTech railing, should be easy to care for, no sanding or staining required.

Flooring, Cabinets, and Counter Tops

The time is coming to make decisions on flooring, cabinets, and counter tops.  The visualization processes takes a little faith that all will work out as envisioned.

I went to the granite supplier / installer today.  They also sell a limited selection of flooring.  I love the look of the flooring we selected and posted about here, but the price was a bit more then our8* budget.  I think I found a good replacement for the bathroom flooring, while shopping for granite counter tops for the kitchen and master bathroom.

MASTER BATHROOM

Below is the sample bathroom counter top, paint color, and cabinet finish (the kitchen and bathroom cabinets will be the same style and finish).

The tile floor and granite counter top will not be touching, but I thought it was helpful to see the colors near each other.
